I Need Prayer, Please...

This past Saturday I got up with a debilitating ear infection and there seems to be no particular end in sight. I have never felt a pain like that. It started inside my ear, worked its way toward the top of my head, down into my jaw, and further down into my throat. I was unable to preach either Sunday service.

Two sweet, sweet men from the church took me to the Emergency Room. The doctor told me my ear looked bad if I was two, even worse for being thirty-five. I got a shot with an eight foot needle and about a gallon of antibiotic. As another church member chided me, at least the tip was not square pointed. :)

It hurts to laugh, talk, smile, think, read, even to look at this monitor. My kids have been really sweet to me though. Everyone needs kids like mine.

So, all that being said, please pray for me. I need to feel better. Thanks.

absolutely, bro. I'm so sorry it didn't work out to see you this weekend. Sounds like you wouldn't have been able to anyway, but I'm still sorry.

Ah, yes, ear infections...
My then-2-year-old would go to bed smiling and wake up screaming in pain.
I'm praying for you

Tony,

I suffered excruciating ear infections my entire childhood so I know the pain of which you speak. You're in my prayers.

Argh...why does pain above the neck seems so unbearable most of the time, like headache, toothache...and an ear infection.
I am very sorry.
Prayer? Consider it done! All the best to you.

Dear Tony, am praying for you. I had a horrible ear infection one time that resulted in Bells Palsy. I awoke one morning with my entire left side of my face paralyzed. I'm so glad you went to the doctor as quickly as you did. Praying it will gone even as I type. selahV

Hello everyone,

Thanks for your prayers, I would humbly ask that you continue to pray for me. I saw an ENT yesterday and she was generous but explicit; "Your eardrum looks angry."

My eardrum is perforated and the Eustachian tube is clogged. There has been a good bit of discharge. She put me on an oral steroid, a nasal steroid (you just squirt it up in there...YUCK), and some ear drops.

The folks at church have been so kind and gracious. My kids have not been quite so patient. "Why don't you just feel better?!"

Sigh. I wish it was that easy. Thanks everyone for your prayers...please pray a little longer.
